Bradford Care Association

Together, we make a difference

Bradford Care Association (BCA) is a membership organisation that is committed to helping Residential Homes, Nursing Homes, Domiciliary Care Providers, Extra Care and Supported Living to give the best possible care to Service Users in the Bradford District.

BCA was established in 2014, and with members representing from across all care sectors within Bradford, the BCA deals with everyday issues and the many priorities facing those in the social care sector.

Vision – To have a united and sustainable care sector across the Bradford District that is known for providing innovative and high-quality care and is an equal partner within our health and care system.

Purpose – To collaborate with others to be the voice of the Bradford care sector and the people it supports; helping it evolve and innovate through the development, sharing and adoption of best practice and the influencing of the care industry’s decision makers on critical issues.

The Bradford Care Association strives to...

  • Promote the best quality of life for the people we support.
  • Help create services led by good managers, delivered by staff who feel valued and love what they do.
  • Achieve a fair cost of care for care homes, home support, extra care and supported living.
  • Positively engage with and support care providers.
  • Provide one powerful voice that can liaise and work closely with our system partners – The Local Authority, NHS, CCG and CQC.
  • Work collectively for the good of the care sector.
  • Ensure that the care sector is a key and equal partner in the Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) and West Yorkshire and Harrogate Integrated Care System (ICS).
  • Shape the local care sector strategy to ensure the sustainability of the sector.
  • Lead innovation in the care sector.
  • Campaign for and raise awareness of issues, risks and solutions.
  • Evidence the value of the care sector’s contribution to keeping people happy and healthy at home.
  • Lobby at a local, regional, and national level for the good of all members.
  • Share best-practice.
  • Develop new and improved models of care.

The BCA are active members of the Care Association Alliance (CAA), the alliance was established as a means of local care associations to exchange best practice based on their experiences as well as being useful a vehicle to highlight the challenges and issues faced by care providers directly to the central decision makers such as the Department of Health and Social Care.
